Erin King Out Of Office
Last week, our principal, Mrs King, sent out an email to all our PLE families letting us know that she would be out of the office until after Winter Break. In her absence, the district has appointed a substitute principal, Kellea Taylor. Please be assured that Mrs King will be just fine! Below you can read some information about our substitute principal, Mrs Taylor:

I graduated from SPU and did my student teaching at Clyde Hill Elementary. After working in Northshore for 2 years I came back to Clyde Hill to team teach with my mentor teacher. I worked on my Masters Degree at the UW and then went through the Danforth program to become an administrator. My first principal job was at Bennett Elementary. I then worked at Tillicum, Stevenson and Spiritridge before taking time off to be with my kids. Just last year I came back to BSD to sub for principals and now work on managing projects at the district level.
I am married to my best friend and we celebrated our 26th anniversary last summer. I have three kids. Alex is a sophomore at UW, Annie is a freshman at UW and Sam is a sophomore at Skyline High School. I also have 2 black cocker spaniels named Gus and Gunner who keep me walking every day.
My passion other than my family and working with kids has been raising money for Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center. Four years ago, my son Sam was diagnosed with cancer and after a year of chemotherapy his cancer is in remission and he is doing well. We started the Strong4Sam Foundation and have raised over half a million dollars for pediatric cancer research. www.strong4sam.org.
