Spring Auction Final Numbers!
Once again, we would like to extend our heartfelt GRATITUDE to our event sponsors, EraGem, Simma Restoration Group, Mansfield Group RE, Lake Hills Orthodontics, and Bellevue LifeSpring! Also, to EVERYONE who donated items to the auction - we had more donations to our auction this year than in previous years - thank you so much! A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers who helped to plan, procure, assemble baskets & donations, decorate, check-in/out at the auction and everyone else who helped make it a memorable event! Finally, THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Spring Auction this year!
We are so happy to announce our final amount raised in our Spring Auction fundraiser! *Drumroll please* ...
We raised $22,621 this year! Thank you so much to everyone!
We will be discussing and voting on the PTA 2019-20 budget at the upcoming General Meeting on Wednesday, June 5th - be sure to join us! |

Box Tops Reminder
Just a friendly reminder to keep clipping those box tops! Please put your cut-out box tops in a plastic baggie with your students name and teacher then put them in the blue monster bin on the table in the front office!
Box tops can be found on a variety of household and food packages; to see a full list of where you can find Box Tops go to: https://www.boxtops4education.com/. Each box top is worth 10 cents to the school (so the more you bring the more we raise!). CLICK HERE to view a printable list.

Memorial Day
Monday, May 27th we will have No School to commemorate Memorial Day.
|

Spring Sing Concert!
Thursday, May 30th starting at 6pm. 1st & 2nd grades will be singing from 6-6:30pm; 3rd & 4th grades will be singing from 7-7:30pm in the gym.
Following the concert, students can enjoy a popsicle out on the playground.

Math Challenge
The May Math Challenge is out! If you need additional copies, find both documents on the PTA website. CLICK HERE for challenge questions & CLICK HERE for response form.
These are completely optional! Response forms & work should be turned in to their teacher by May 31st. |

PTA Meeting
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 5th for a PTA Meeting from 6:30-8pm in the library!
We will be reviewing and voting on the 2019-20 PTA budget - see and decide where your fundraising efforts will go next year!
Childcare will be provided.

Family Movie Night
Save the Date for Friday, June 7th for a family movie night! We will have the usual popcorn and waters and families are free to bring their own food as well.
This Movie Night, we will also be having ice cream and Melisa Salas, PLE's principal next year will be there to meet & talk with families.

Character Strength Workshop
Also on Friday, June 7th in the evening, Camp Kindness Counts will be hosting a Character Strength Workshop at PLE from 6:16-7:15 during the movie.

Save the date for the PLE Family BBQ! The BBQ this year will be on Friday, June 14th during the lunch hour (K-2nd eat from 11-11:25; 3rd-5th from 11:30-11:55). Bring the family and come enjoy a BBQ lunch at PLE! |

Preparing for College Workshops
Bellevue PTSA Council, Bellevue Gifted Alliance, and Transcend Academy present a series of four workshops geared toward students in grades 8-11. Workshops will be led by Transcend Academy CEO Tina Tran Neville and BSD Counselors.
FREE to any BSD student with student ID CARD
$20 for BSD adults
$40 for out of district attendees

“Boosting Executive Function Skills to Succeed in Middle School”
BGA Event: Aisha Simon of Axiom Learning
Join us for an interactive workshop to learn about and develop executive function skills such as planning, prioritization, working memory, and cognitive flexibility. This session is designed for current 4th, 5th, and 6th graders plus a parent. You will be working in parent-child teams (1:1 is best). It's Free!
